Two dome fields are situated in eastern Oceanus Procellarum near the craters Hortensius, Milichius, and Tobias Mayer, in a region located south of the outer rim of the Imbrium basin also known as Mare Insularum. In this wide volcanic region, domes of moderate to steep slope are located. They are all part of a low to moderate-TiO2 basaltic lavas. According to classification scheme, M1, M2, M3, M5, M6, M10 and M15 belong to class C1. Their low slopes suggest high effusion rates of the erupted lavas. With their smaller diameters and steeper slopes, domes M4, M11, and M12 (Milichius π) belong to class B1. The dome M7 is morphometrically similar to the small, shallow, low-volume class A domes of the Cauchy and Arago dome fields but consists of spectrally red material, belonging to class E2. The domes M8 and M9 with slopes corresponding to 3.2°-3.5° belong to class E1. M13, with its large diameter and low slope of only 0.41° is considered a putative intrusive dome and belong to class In1.The dome Hortensius 7 (H7) is located near the crater Hortensius E, with a height of 80± 10m, and belongs to class B2. The low slope and edifice volume of the dome yield a high effusion rate of 106 m3 s-1 and a short duration of the effusion process of only 0.72 years. Dome H1, like H7, with its shallower slope and lower volume belongs to class B2. Domes H2-H6 belong to class B1 according to their steep slopes (comprised from 2.1° and 5.4°).
M16 belongs to class E2 as M7, while the domes M17 and M18 belong to class C1. The domes H8 and H9 with slopes corresponding to 1.18° and 3.33° belong to class E2 and E1 respectively, while the dome H10 belongs to class C2. H11 belongs to class C1 with a tendency to class C2 due to smaller diameter and edifice volume. The dome M20, like M17 and M18, is a typical mare domes belongs to class C1, while the dome M19 belongs to class C1 with a tendency towards class C2. The dome M21 belongs to class E1 with a tendency towards class E2 .
The dome M22 is a swell and M23 belongs to class B1.
